The key to supernatural living
Galatians 5.16-25

"If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you”   John 14.15-17

The Holy Spirit is God’s Presence in your life.

The Holy Spirit lives in every Christ follower.

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galations 5.16-25

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.  Ephesians 5.18

Spirit controlled life.

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace … Romans 8.6

Spirit empowered life.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1.8

All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.  1 Corinthians 12.11

Spirit led life.

… because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  Romans 8.14

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.  Galatians 5.16

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.  Galatians 5.17

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.  So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.                Romans 7.15, 21

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Galatians 5.24-25

Confess every known sin to God.

Repent of your sin completely.

Surrender control back to God.

Ask God to fill you with His Spirit.
