BUILDING UPDATE
Thrive Campus Expansion Update
In our December 13 church family business gathering, Pastor Craig, our Leadership Council, and Building Team presented a plan to defer groundbreaking on our new 15,000 square feet Epic Student Building until approximately 90% of the total project cost of $4,000,000 has been raised. Our giving to the project since May 2008 now stands at over $1,800,000, meaning we have given over 45% of the projected cost. Our current two-year period of giving to this project ends in April 2010. Let's thank the Lord together!
Our Leadership Council and Building Team have carefully considered and prayed over this plan to defer groundbreaking and all other leadership teams and Deacons agree that this is a wise and prudent decision for our church at this time. In order to continue fully supporting our various ministries, we must carefully guard against unnecessary debt. This is a wonderful time for us to trust in God's provision and in His perfect timing for us as His church.
We must also remember that in recent days much has been accomplished on our campus and has been paid for without incurring any additional debt! Our
Please be assured we are fully committed to this campus expansion project and have committed our future to the Lord and His provision. In God's timing, the new building will be built and help us reach hundreds of students we have never met!
You may be asking, "What do we do now?" First, you can continue to pray for God's hand on our church as we get the gospel out. Second, you can continue to give. We are asking all of our members to continue to give what was pledged toward this campaign. If you haven't made a pledge, now is the time for all of us to give together as we press on toward our target amount of $3.6 million that will enable us to begin construction. This is not a time to hold back but to press forward in faith. Also, you can rest assured that all contributions given to this project will be spent exclusively for this project and any remaining funds will be kept in escrow until groundbreaking. Third, you can stay informed. We will be communicating the status of the project and how you can be involved through small groups, emails and our website.
Please feel free to chat with any member of our Leadership Council, Building Team, or Executive Pastor Dr. David Sylvester to receive further details.
