OASIS Single Adults
The American Heritage Dictionary defines an Oasis as:
- A fertile or green spot in a desert or wasteland, made so by the presence of water.
- A situation or place preserved from surrounding unpleasantness; a refuge: an oasis of serenity amid chaos.
The Oasis Ministry is designed for single adults in their 30s-50s. Oasis is faithful, loving brothers and sisters in Christ reaching out to single people; those who have already walked the path and willingly help others. Life at times can be messy…crying with a single parent whose child has died; praying with a sister who has a brain tumor; putting your arm around a brother whose dreams lie in ashes around him after divorce. Thankfully, God helps us in these times…through His Word and His people.
Oasis cares about both the spiritual and social needs of singles in our church. Currently, we provide:
- Sunday morning Bible study each week at 11am (room 103)
- Tuesday night Bible study at 7pm (every other week in student building)
- Opportunities to serve others through ministry projects
- Avenues for socializing with other single adults and their families by going out to eat, movies, sporting events, horseback riding and other fun activities.
